| Diabetes is a life-long condition requiring constant
attention which can impact on many aspects of daily living. A thorough
understanding of diabetes is important so that you may tackle the day to
day problems with minimum disruption. Education is a vital part of developing
your skills. The diabetes specialist nurse will help teach you these skills.
She can also help teach you how to monitor your blood sugars, use insulin
pens and adjust your insulin doses. Please note we can only give specific
