  • Oligo/amenorrhoea
  • Hirsutism
  • Obesity
  • Infertility

    Guidelines for referral

  • Refer to Fertility clinic if non-obese seeking fertility
  • Refer to Gynaecology clinic if menorrhagia
  • Refer the rest to the PCOS Endocrine clinic

    Investigations

    All investigations should take place prior to starting the OCP or at least 6 weeks after coming off the OCP and within the first week of the menstrual cycle in women with regular cycles
  • Testosterone
  • LH/FSH/Oestradiol
  • Serum Prolactin only if patient is amenorrhoeic
  • LFT
  • U&E
  • Androgen profile ONLY if serum Testosterone >3.0nmol/L
